Coffee barker !

GetAttachment.jpg

For my first outing after surgery this was a great experience, hidden among one of the many vintage arcades is castle arcade and here is the hidden gem of coffee barker. A reasonable sized coffee shop in the city center situated just opposite from the castle its self. As you walk up the arcade you first spot the line of wooden chairs and tables placed outside the coffee shop. On these chairs are the best things ever homely tartan blankets to keep you snug and warm if you fancy sipping your drink and watching the world go by. Stepping into the coffee shop you’re surounded by the huge choice of seating, tons of huge tan coloured leather arms chairs and sofas. Once I finally choose a snug corner to sit , I had to then decide what I wanted from the huge range. After pondering for a while I finally settled on a caramel milkshake, one of several flavors. The milkshake comes with a retro twist with the recycling milk bottles , even the milk for tea comes in a cute mini milk bottle. My friend who escorted me purchased tea which comes in rustic tea pots, this particular one came in a splendid shade of green. We both ordered food, both choosing a goats cheese and sundried tomato panni, which came with a side of delicious relish. They have an abundant range with lots of flavors of panni’s, jacket potatoes and a soup of the day to satisfy anyone’s tastes. Both the milkshake and the panni came to around a reasonably priced £8.00. On offer were a delightful range of cakes, but the panni filled me up so much I didn’t even get a chance to sample any. This then leaves me a great excuse to return to this warm and welcoming coffee shop. All round this is a place for all, with there being all kinds of people enjoying the delights when I visited from families, to couples and even the odd person relaxing with a good book. A place I would recommend to many and am looking forward to visiting their sister shop barker tea house for an elegant afternoon tea.
