Having seen such great pictures of the food me and a couple of friends decided to head to kaspas desserts. Just on the middle of city road the building glows with welcoming lights. When we made our way in we were sat at the back of the room high up on a huge round table. Eventually menus were brought over to us but only 4 seeing as there were 5 of us so had to wait for another. Searching through the menu there was loads to choose from, ice-cream, cake, cookie dough and waffles. After much deliberation we finally figured out that we had to go up to the till to order.
I settled on a make your own waffle choosing to have an m&m base with Nutella and banana on top. My friend also had made your own waffles and two others had one of the huge varieties of ice creams. Once we ordered our food we headed back to our table and waited. A while past and it got to 40 minutes after we placed our order till our food came over. I could see that the place was somewhat busy but if we had been informed of the wait then it would have been understandable. For waffles I had never even waited this long for a hot meal in a restaurant so for my dessert eventually arrives I was happy.
Then the next problem came I looked at my waffle and I was pretty confused, drizzled over the top was a caramel sauce which I hadn’t asked for. I then checked the bottom of my waffle no m&ms so when the member of staff came over I enquired. He then said he would have to get someone else so went away. Then a man not in a clear uniform came over and just stood at our table saying nothing. He eventually mumbled something that was not clear, so I started to explain the error. Seeing as I had waited 40 minutes for my food in the first place, I suggested I have the money back for the lack of m&ms. Then next thing I knew he started to take my waffle away, showing a sign he Cleary had not listened to what I had just said. Eventually the member of staff finally understood what I had asked and got me my £1 back for the m&ms.
Finally it was time to actually try my food and it was very delicious. The ice cream on the side was nice and smooth and accompanied the waffle very nicely. There was so much sweetness and I was so full afterwards, it was practically a meal in dessert form. Overall my expectations where a lot higher from the photos I had seen and other seemed to enjoy it. The customer service on the other hand needs much improving and I hope if do ever return that this has changed.
