Superbowl bowling

A couple of weeks ago my friend Ben and I decided to go and tick a few things of bucket list. We knew that a new bowling complex had opened in town and was easier to get to than the bay. When looking up the prices online beforehand we were happily surprised. We had planned to book. Seeing as we were planning on going on a weeknight after school had finished, not knowing how busy it maybe. When booking online there was a small booking fee but otherwise a bargain for the two of us. The cost for two games for the both of us came to £19.00, which I thought was pretty reasonable. We later went on to discover that on certain days like Sunday and Monday they have excellent deals, with each game after 6pm being £2.50 per adult.
So once we arrived at the Superbowl we headed to the desk. The complex is just opposite the bus station so easy to get access to . The woman that was behind the desk was very helpful and told the best news ever no bowling shoes needed! The one thing I always hated was putting shoes other people had worn on. In this bowling place as long as you have not got open toes for health and safety reason you can just keep your own shoes on!
We had been placed right at the start in lane one. There were some teenagers playing next to us so all the balls were already in the racking ready to play. First barrier we had was trying to figure out how to setup our names on the board and this seemed easier said than done. After asking we found out that the arrow button we thought was entering was in fact the back button. We then had to figure out how to make sure the barriers stayed down as we were playing a grown up game of bowling. The two games went quite quickly and I unluckily lost both games but will be back to beat ben again.
Once we had finished bowling it was time to tick one more thing off my list a game of pool. There were a huge number of different arcade games on offer as well. Allowing you could spend hours in the complex. We went to setup our game but annoyingly one of our balls got jammed in the shot and we had to call someone over to fix it. It was not too busy so was able to play a few games and once again I didn’t win any. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the pool cues, maybe I might have one a game or two. Generally I was pretty impressed with what they had to offer and will be sure to return to have another game of bowling and eventually win.
