Porters bar

When originally writing my bucket list I had to add porters bar to that list. Times I could remember of going to bandokie with my housemates was something I wanted to relive. Having planned to go for a meal nearby and it is the closest bar it seemed like a good idea.

When you arrive you would not know it was there really apart from the giant P above the door. As one person said is it the place that looks like it has prison bars on the outside. On a Friday night, it was busier than we expected with all tables inside occupied. The bar also had a line of people and it was only 5 pm on a Friday night.

Two people in our group had gone ahead and grabbed some seats outside ready. Even outside was busy, but luckily we had a bench to accommodate us. We went back to the bar to get some drinks, though it was still busy. Eventually, we got served and just ordered the drinks in one go. They do have a wide range of drinks on offer but as the bar was so full it was hard to see. We settled for cider and the lady was great at telling us the flavour options.

Afterwards, we then went outside where We had a bench between us. A lot of the chairs are stationary, so if you need an extra seat it's very hard to move them. We only stayed for an hour but at that time it got busier and busier. I think when I go next I will need to go at a quieter time. Even maybe go when they have their pub quiz or a cinema screening.
