Culley's resturant- Ladies who brunch

Situated in the Coal Exchange Hotel is Culleys resturant. The building built in 1888 , located in Cardiff Bay. Preivously used as the coal exchange with a lot of the original features still in tact. With beautiful beams, the original stone work and many more features.

We had booked in advance to secure a table and to avoid disappointment. We had opted to go for the brunch offer. 2 course £30 with alcohol or £20 without. The couse consisted of a main and a pudding .

I was the first to arrive and was quickly seated , while I waited for others to arrive. You do have a time slot so don't be late to avoid running out of time. Once my friends had arrived they were quick to take our order. The staff had no problem with answering our questions when needed. Any dietary requirements they were happy to check with the kitchen for us.

Firstly our drinks were brought over with only 2 people opting for prosecoo option. The range of soft drinks was pretty good as well , with myself opting for an appletizer. When the prosecoo was low they were there to top it up right away.

When our food arrived it was so well presented. I had opted for the club sandwhich, which was huge. This came with a side of fires and some picked vegetables. The fillings I did worry would fall out when biting into it, but most of it stayed in thankfully. The bread was actually toast, but if it was cooked for say a minute less would of been perfect.

The rest of the table opted for either a veggie or vegan breakfast. This came presented very well with the beans in a little dish on the side. Rachel who had read the menu throughly did notice that there was no bread on the plate. As she pointed it out they were happy and grabbed a few slices to go with it. Everyone throughly enjoyed it and the poached egg even had the runny yolk.

It then came round to picking pudding, they had a good amount of options to choose from. Myself and Sara opted for the sticky toffee pudding. This came with ice cream and a very sweet sauce. The pudding was flavoured lovely and not too over powering. Anila and Rachel opted for the chocolate fondant. They looked delicious with the gooey centre and ice cream as a side. The birthday girl Alea opted for the ice cream trio, beautifully presented in a classic sundae glass.

When we had finished our meal we were not rushed in anyway which I like. The staff were friendly and were kind enough to take a picture for us as well. I found the food, setting and staff all amazing and would definitely return. The meal was such good value for money and really tasty.
