Mooboo Bubble Tea

Having been walking around town through the arcades me and Simran decided we needed a bevage. Both never having had a bubble tea , it was time to try one. With more and more shops selling them and becoming increasingly popular we wanted to see what the hype was.

Just at the end of High street arcade is Mooboo bubble tea. It seemed to have constant queues which is always a good sign. On the side it had the flavour options which was a bit over whelming. Myself a person who looks up a menu before going to a restaurant had to narrow down choices. I narrowed it down pretty quickly elimination the milk teas and going for a more refreshing fruit choice.

I joined the queue having picked my flavour of passion mango. When I got to the till who knew there were going to be so many other options. Firstly the size, but that was easy enough go for a regular incase I did not like it . Then you had to choose ice quantity. Not sure how this effected it, but I guess less ice more juice. Next is then the sweetness, who knew you could pick that in your drink. I went with 25% in order to not over do it with the sugar. Then finally came with pearl balls, being caught off guard I went for popping passion flavour .

Once I had ordered I stood outside patiently waiting for my order as it was only a small shop. When the drink was ready the lady kindly offered to sort my straw so I could drink to my hearts content.

Simran opted for a milk based drink grabbing two, one for her and another for her sister. She opted for a similar flavour of mango but with peach bubbles. The server described it to her as more of like a milkshake when adding milk. When Simran tasted it was creamy which was nice for her first bubble tea.

My tea experience was while walking home back through Queen Street. First you get the fruity hit of the juice and it was not too sweet which was great. The tapioca balls at the end were great, a little surprise, to pop in your mouth afterwards. My one comment is that once the juice has gone your left with a lot of pearls. So next time will try and have more of them at the start to balance it out.

For my first experience I was pretty impressed with a regular costing me £4.19. Next time I think I need to venture out more and explore other options. I saw them making some which had chocolate sauce and that looked so tasty. With summer coming these refreshing drinks may be a new regular of mine.
