Play At Pins

Bowling is something that I have found is harder and harder to find a good place. When researching places to go Play at pins popped up. Only open for a short while, located right next door to St Davids Hall. I originally tried to book online, but their system would only let me selected 4 people to play. So I risked it and showed up on a Monday around 5pm.

When we got there we headed down the stairs , past the neon lights to what I would describe as bar. When I looked over to the far corner I could see that one lane was occupied. Luckily for us when we got to the bar we were able to book the other lane. With only 2 lanes it's a risk that paid off.

Costing us £9.80 each for a game this was not too bad considering bowling has become an expensive past time. The staff member came over and set up the screen for us and checked if we would like the barriers up. There is a little table and some stools as well so plenty of space for some drinks or bags.

I went first and was shocked when I knocked over the pins. The pins left standing where pulled up by string, something I had never seen before. The images on the screen as well were very different , which I loved as it was not the same old. There were a verity of balls to choose from and they returned so quickly.

The game lated about 20 minutes and we did not feel rushed at all. As you can see from the score above we tied. If you want a cute little bowling experience then this is the place.

There were a tone of other activities as well to take part in. Pool tables, shuffle board, karaoke, arcade games, escape rooms. There is a lot going on and I am sure I will be returning in the near future to try some.
