The Cotswolds everyone's place they want to go and get those pictures in those cute little villages. We'll surprisingly the cost of accommodation is an interesting market. When looking on Air B&B there were some costly places to stay. After searching I found Tallow Cottage in the village or Morten in Marsh.
Booking about 4 months in advance and paying £410 for two nights for 3 of us. You may think wow , but this was a place on the lower side of the properties. A 2 bedroom cottage with parking , this was a bargain compared to other places. Easy to get to with it being about a 2hr drive from Cardiff.
Communication was great from the host, with recommendations galore given. This being my first Air bnb experience first impressions were great. 2 days before instructions were given and me and my friends were ready to go.
The journey was easy to get to with the road being one way. The parking was very roomy and not far from the door. The front door was beautiful, with floral decorations and amazing cottage vibes. As we walked in we took our shoes off to make sure we did not mark the floor.
The sofas were very homely with cushions and beautiful wooden furniture to blend in. As you walk there is eclectic pictures along the walls as well as a few trinkets.
I loved the stand, a rustic looking stand with tons of leaflets. These were from guest or place near by, even walking maps. I spent a while going through these and you will not run out of places to visit.
We were kindly left a bottle of wine with a sign to water the plants. I was definitely watering the plants to keep the beautifully spray of flowers. The kitchen table was nice and big and the kitchen had all the supplies for cooking. One night we did make a meal and there was even a dishwasher to save us time.
The upstairs was very warm when we went due to the extreme heat. In winter mind it would be lovely and cosy. The beds were beautifully made with fresh clean towels as well. There were even mini toiletries in case you had forgotten yours. The shower was a bit of a mini one but it did the job.
If your looking for a place to stay while in the area I will highly recommend Tallow cottage. Homely feel with , parking and great host.
