The Rangers Hut -Ice cream

Only recently opened up in Waterloo Gardens is the Rangers Hut. An old hut now offering ice cream , I'm pretty sure run by Waterloo tea. They are closed on a Monday and Tuesday but open most days 3pm-11pm weather dependant. I have wanted to visit for some time and fathers days was the day.

When we first arrived there was only one other person infront of us. This gave us time to eye up the menu on what to have . The ice cream choices are limited, but the add ons make up for it. With one scoop being £3.00 and two being £4.50, then each topping is 50p extra, or candy floss £1.

So my mum opted for strawberry and salted carmel ice cream with strawberry sauce. She gave me free rein of her topping so went with pistachios for her. My dad opted for an odd combination or mango sorbet but with the special of black cherry ice cream. Either way he enjoyed it throughly even though he had no added extras.

My brother opted for chocolate ice cream with a coffee sauce and biscoff crumb. My self I went for strawberry and the special of black cherry. I then had strawberry sauce with pressed on oreo. The mixture of sweet sauce , crunchy oreo and smooth ice cream went so well together. All came in a cute little waffle cone , but tubs are available if you prefer. There are many options to create your own even having flying saucers if that's your kind of thing.

This mini cafe is a great added extra to the park, especially with summer coming up. They also offer hot and cold drinks as well as doggy ice cream. Grabbing and ice cream and sitting in the park while watching the ducks and her signets is the way forward. So why not get yourself down and try some ice cream yourself.
